After three nights and four days lost in the wilderness, an 80-year-old hiker was reunited with his family — at a press conference originally planned as a continued effort to try and find him.
Harry Harvey was reported missing on Sunday, after he was separated from his walking partner in Yorkshire Dales, located in northeast England.
At the press conference, broadcast from the local Tan Hill Inn on Facebook Live, Harvey explained that he got caught in a heavy hail storm, but was able to stay safe for three nights.
"In hindsight, I didn’t want all of this [worry and attention], but I had three really good wild camping nights," he said, adding that he never felt scared.
